In the post-Internet age, it is hard, if not impossible, to ignore the effect of digital media on art, and consequently on curating. The art world, at least in theory, has already moved from the idea that artwork or exhibitions exist solely in three dimensions.
Forcing a rethinking of the conventional descriptions of art. In this sense, You Are Here: Art After the Internet brings artists, curators and researchers together to understand current debates about digital art while provoking many others.

The book ends with a useful glossary, apparently to fulfil its promise to reach out to the ‘unconverted’ and ‘newcomers’, and a note on capitalization of the word ‘Internet’ by Stephanie Bailey which is an academic/ editorial concern for many. Overall, Kholeif acknowledges the position of You Are Here: Art After the Internet in the broader historical context and does not try to ‘articulate a medium or tendency’ but rather ‘operates as a snapshot of the questions raised by artistic practitioners’ (13). With the range of contributors and topics covered, it greatly deserves to be a key text for future researchers and curators in the field.
