Linear painting – nothing lasts forever, and cherish what you already have
Fruits will rot away, water resources can be used up and time elapses. Maybe only “The Persistence of Memory” by Salvador Dalí is permanent. His unique expression for the frenzied elapse of time implies the irresistible force of personal emotions under the pressure of the material world. “The Persistence of Memory” has been imitated for many times. Svetlana Petrova put her ginger cat into famous paintings, and Hold Your Horses, a French indie band, mimicked 25 famous paintings in the their “70 Million”MV, which was like leading us to skim through the history of western art. I have also tried to imitate the famous paintings via the camera.

“Cherish” is to arouse the audience’s attention to cherish electricity and water resources on our planet.
Though we may not live in a place short of electricity or water, we still need to cherish these resources. They are like time which we feel is plenty but will soon be used up if we don’t cherish.
Thus, I drew the earth into a bulb which drooped into an unknown space like the sand in a sand glass.
Rotten fruits are manifestation of elapse of time, and I present it in the picture.
