Chinese Painting

Chinese paintings underscore presentation of the imagery, or in other words, creation of atmosphere. In these three works, “Outside the Window” 、“Lotus” and “Portrait of A Man” the model’s eyes are directed beyond the frame of the paintings to inspire the viewers to think what the model is thinking about and what he/she is looking at. The atmosphere is not just as presented by the drawings; rather, it depends on the viewers’ moods when appreciating the drawings.
